Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

After our stay at North Haven Island, we began the three hour drive to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Along the way, we stopped in Boothbay, Maine to visit the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens to see the wooden trolls! North Haven Island

We headed to North Haven Island, in Maine to explore the island, stay at Nebo Lodge, and get a 2-hour tour of a working Oyster Farm! I loved the farm tour and had a fantastic dinner at the Nebo Lodge Restaurant. An Afternoon in Rockland, ME

After enjoying breakfast at our B&B, we spent the morning of our second day in Camden, Maine by exploring the downtown shops, like Uncle Willie’s Candy Shoppe. Then, we drove 20 minutes to Rockland, Maine, to explore their Main Street of shops, galleries, and museums.

The Waterfront

A three-hour drive from Concord, New Hampshire brought us to Camden, Maine, one of my favorite accommodations and towns to visit during our vacation. The Mark Twain House

Kicking off the first leg of our summer vacation to Maine, we decided to take our first stop in Hartford, Connecticut to visit the Mark Twain House & Museum. If you know my love of Gilmore Girls (and literature), then you know I was excited to see what Hartford was like. To visit the house of a literary icon was a bonus to me. Boston's Chinatown

After spending the morning walking through the Boston Waterfront, we headed South to the South Boston Waterfront near the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. We explored the shops nearby before heading over to Chinatown for lunch, where we ate at Hing Shing Pastry and the Dumpling King. Click to read our full day of adventures and food.

Boston Waterfront

After exploring Boston Common and the North End, we decided to spend our next full day exploring the Boston Waterfront, near the Financial District. A stop for coffee at Thinking Cup on Newbury Street, and our day of outdoor adventures started at the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The North End

For our first full day in Boston, Massachusetts, we decided to walk through the Boston Common towards the North End. We spent our afternoon visiting the famous monuments and statues in the Boston Common, before visiting the Paul Revere Mall and Old North Church. Tatte Bakery & Cafe

We visited Tatte Bakery & Cafe on Boylston Street in Boston, MA during our first full day of vacation. I loved the black and white interior design and the immaculate pastry and bread cases. Krasi

For our first day in Boston, we spent the evening exploring Newbury Street. We stopped by Mochi Dough and Trident Booksellers & Cafe before having dinner at Krasi on Gloucester Street. An Afternoon in Concord, MA

From the local bookstore and gallery, to antique stores and historic sites, click to read more about our afternoon in Concord, Massachusetts. We had a great time exploring Main Street and Walden Street before driving to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Old Manse, and Old North Bridge.

Vintageville Antiques and Farmer's Market

One of my last adventures in Columbus, Georgia, brought my best friend, her husband, and I to a local farmer’s market. We sampled delicious empanadas, drank coffee, and browsed jewelry and art stands before heading to Vintageville antiques. Next door to Vintageville is ReDesign Time, another consignment shop of unique items for your home. Read my thoughts about my favorite location and see what I bought at the Farmer’s Market.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden

Visiting my childhood best friend brought me to Atlanta, Georgia for the first time. After driving through Atlanta, we ended up at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
